About the Studio

Meridian Films was founded in 2019 in Marfa, Texas by director Lena Okafor and producer David Herrera. We make one to three films a year, each chosen because the story would not survive the machinery of a larger production. Our work has screened at Sundance, Cannes, Venice, and Telluride. We do not develop franchises, sequels, or intellectual property. We develop films.
